INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE HONOURS – LIGHTING DESIGN

The Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Interior Architecture helps students to re-imagine interior environments and public spaces in local and global contexts. With a strong emphasis on people’s experiences of space, this degree equips students with the critical skills required to interrogate and transgress the traditional boundaries of commercial interior design.

This year, the Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Interior Architecture (UTS) explores atmospheric lighting design and dedicates itself to improving the understanding and appreciation of atmospheres through the design of visual elements; space, material and light. Intersecting theory and practice, the degree is framed through the relationship between light and darkness and their inextricable dialogue in creating atmospheres. In response to a design brief supported by the research accumulated and examined in the first session, students explore, develop and realise an innovative, holistic and professional design solution to a complex design problem within the diverse field of interior and spatial design.
